چکیده
The application of remote sensing is considered to be highly efficient in the field geology, particularly for mapping and discrimination between lithological units, as well identification different surface minerals which enable acquisition all optical radar data needed obtain more reliable particular information, especially inaccessible areas. Landsat 8 (Operational Land Imager) image bands, include color compositions 7, 4, 1, band ratios 7/5, 4/2, 3/1, 6/3, 6/1, 5/2, Principal Component Analyses PC1, PC4, PC3, directional filtering at 0° (NS), 45° (NE–SW), 90° (EW), were used analyze spectral characteristics units study area delineate alteration zones may contain significant concentrations base metals. Combined with geological observations, these integrated analyzed a geographic information system establish multi-criteria characterization mineralized zones. Hence, use contributed improvement updating available maps Oumjrane–Boukerzia area. Lineament extraction allowed performed analyses structural elements that play crucial role mineral distribution Several targeted areas examined by selective sampling. Consequently, results helped identify new important mining potential could evaluated future through detailed geophysical geochemical work.

Removal of Thin Cirrus Scattering Effects in Landsat 8 OLI Images Using the Cirrus Detecting Channel
Thin cirrus clouds frequently contaminate images acquired with either Landsat 7 ETM+ or the earlier generation of Landsat series satellite instruments. The situation has changed since the launch of the Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager (OLI) into space in 2013. OLI implemented a cirrus detecting channel (Band 9) centered within a strong atmospheric water vapor absorption band near 1.375 μm with...
متن کاملAssessment of Forest Damage in Croatia using Landsat-8 OLI Images
Background and Purpose: Rapid assessments of forest damage caused by natural disasters such as ice-break, wind, flooding, hurricane, or forest fires are necessary for mitigation and forest management. Forest damage directly impacts carbon uptake and biogeochemical cycles, and thus, has an impact on climate change. It intensifies erosion and flooding, and influences socio-economic well-being of ...
متن کاملLakeTime: Automated Seasonal Scene Selection for Global Lake Mapping Using Landsat ETM+ and OLI
The Landsat series of satellites provide a nearly continuous, high resolution data record of the Earth surface from the early 1970s through to the present. The public release of the entire Landsat archive, free of charge, along with modern computing capacity, has enabled Earth monitoring at the global scale with high spatial resolution. With the large data volume and seasonality varying across ...
متن کاملAerosol Optical Depth Retrieval over Bright Areas Using Landsat 8 OLI Images
Conventional methods for Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) retrieval are limited to areas with low reflectance such as water or vegetated areas because the satellite signals from the aerosols in these areas are more obvious than those in areas with higher reflectance such as urban and sandy areas. Land Surface Reflectance (LSR) is the key parameter that must be estimated accurately. Most current meth...
متن کاملMapping soil salinity using Landsat 8 images for land evaluation: A Case Study of Saveh
Introduction: As a valuable asset that play a key role in the environment, natural resources, and the production of agricultural products, soil provided an appropriate ground for plant growth and vegetation development. Therefore, any disregard to the preservation of such a valuable capital may result in food shortages, soil erosion, and degradation of natural resources. From among different i...
